Learners develop language skills they can apply for a range of different purposes and audiences in everyday situations and in study.
They will communicate confidently and effectively and develop the critical skills to respond to a range of information, media and texts with understanding and enjoyment.

OUR MISSION
The mission of the Department of Language and Communication
Skills is to initiate and foster communication and collaboration skills in
response to national development goals relating to local, regional and
international trends.
WHAT WE OFFER
The department offers academic literacy skills within the
tradition of English and or French for Specific purposes to all faculties.
Students registered in academic literacy are trained in academic writing
skills, presentations skills, as well as research skills.
